CWN Postiz
CWN Postiz is Cyber Warrior Network's own social media scheduling and content management tool. We use it to draft, schedule, and publish posts across the accounts Cyber Warrior Network operates, including TikTok. It is an internal operations tool, not a public product: the only accounts it posts to are ours, and posting only ever happens after a person on our team writes and approves the post.
What it does with TikTok, specifically. When we connect a TikTok account to CWN Postiz, the tool can read that account's basic profile and stats, list its existing videos, and publish or upload a video a member of our team has already prepared. It never posts automatically and never acts on behalf of anyone who has not directly connected their own account.
1 What it is
Social media scheduling and content management software. It gives our team one place to write a post once and place it on the schedule for the platforms we use, TikTok among them, instead of logging into each platform separately.
2 What it asks TikTok for, and why
| Scope | What it is used for in CWN Postiz |
|---|---|
| user.info.basic | Show which TikTok account is connected, by name and avatar, in our scheduling calendar. |
| user.info.profile | Show the account's public profile link alongside a scheduled post, for a final check before it goes out. |
| user.info.stats | Show follower and video counts on the connected account's dashboard card. |
| video.list | Show the account's existing published videos, so our team can see what has already gone out before scheduling more. |
| video.upload | Send a prepared video to TikTok as a draft, for final review and posting inside the TikTok app. |
| video.publish | Publish a prepared video directly to the connected account, at the time our team scheduled it. |
3 Data, retention, and disconnecting
CWN Postiz stores the OAuth access and refresh tokens TikTok issues when we connect an account, and the account name and avatar TikTok returns with them. It stores the content of the posts we schedule so it can publish them at the scheduled time. It keeps all of this only for as long as the account stays connected. Disconnecting a TikTok account from CWN Postiz deletes its stored tokens immediately. See the full Privacy Policy for how this fits into everything else Cyber Warrior Network collects, and the Terms of Service for the terms that govern the tool.
